What is
a Breast Lift?

A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a cosmetic procedure that raises and reshapes sagging breasts. It repositions the nipples, removes excess skin, and firms up breast tissue — offering a perkier and more contoured appearance.

This procedure is ideal for women who’ve experienced volume loss or sagging due to aging, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight changes. A breast lift does not significantly change breast volume, but it can be combined with implants for enhanced fullness.

What are the Benefits of Breast Lift Surgery?

  • Youthful Contours: Restores a firmer, elevated breast shape
  • Improved Symmetry: Corrects uneven or downward-pointing nipples
  • Boosted Confidence: Helps you feel more comfortable in your clothing and body
  • Long-Lasting Results: Results typically last for years with proper lifestyle maintenance

Who is Breast Lift Surgery For?

  • Women with sagging breasts due to age, pregnancy, or weight loss
  • Those whose nipples fall below the breast crease or point downward
  • Patients seeking improved shape, not necessarily a size change
  • Individuals at a stable weight and not planning future pregnancies soon

Types of Breast Lift Surgery in Singapore

Crescent & Donut Lift (Periareolar Mastopexy)

Best for mild sagging. Involves a small incision around the areola to slightly raise and reshape the breast.

  • Minimal scarring
  • Ideal for minor adjustments

Lollipop Lift (Vertical Mastopexy)

Suitable for moderate sagging. Incision around the areola plus a vertical line down to the crease.

  • Balanced correction
  • Common choice for moderate volume loss

Anchor Lift (Inverted-T Mastopexy)

Best for severe sagging and excess skin. Adds a horizontal incision along the breast fold.

  • Maximum reshaping
  • Often chosen after significant weight loss or multiple pregnancies

Which Option is Right for You?

Each breast and body is unique. Your plastic surgeon will evaluate your anatomy and goals to recommend the best technique for a natural and flattering result.

FAQs

Will my breasts look natural after a lift?
Yes. Our goal is to enhance your natural shape, not create an artificial appearance.
Will a breast lift increase my cup size?
No, a breast lift reshapes and repositions the breasts without significantly changing their volume. However, some patients report that their breasts appear fuller or more projected after surgery. If you wish to increase your cup size, a breast lift can be combined with breast augmentation.
Can I combine a breast lift with implants?
Absolutely. If you wish to increase volume in addition to lifting, we can combine procedures such as breast augmentation.
How long is the recovery?
Most patients resume daily tasks within 1–2 weeks. Full healing and final results may take 2–3 months.
Will there be scars?
Scarring is minimal and fades with time. Our techniques are designed to place incisions discreetly along natural contours.
Is the procedure safe?
Yes. As with all surgeries, there are risks, but these are minimized with our meticulous planning and expertise.
Can I breastfeed after a breast lift?
In most cases, breastfeeding is still possible after a breast lift. However, the ability to breastfeed depends on the surgical technique used and your individual anatomy. If you’re planning to have children in the future, be sure to discuss this with your surgeon during your consultation.
With our attentive approach, experienced staff, diverse areas of expertise and all-in-one facilities, we are sure that you will be well taken care of. We warmly welcome you to our plastic surgery clinic for a personalised consultation.
