Patients often begin with a concern rather than a specific procedure in mind. Whether you are looking to address changes in the breasts, eyes, nose, ears or body, understanding the available treatment options can help you make a more informed decision.

Breast Shape and Volume
Patients may consider breast surgery for concerns such as volume loss, breast asymmetry, sagging breasts or reconstruction following cancer treatment.

Eyelid and Eye Area Concerns
Eyelid procedures may address concerns such as droopy eyelids, under-eye bags, monolids or the appearance of the inner corners of the eyes.

Nose Appearance and Function
Patients may seek treatment for concerns relating to nasal shape, facial balance or breathing difficulties caused by structural issues within the nose.

Body Contouring Concerns
Body contouring procedures may help address stubborn fat deposits, loose abdominal skin or changes that can occur after weight loss or pregnancy.

Ear Appearance and Reconstruction
Ear procedures may address concerns relating to ear shape, prominence, congenital differences or reconstruction following injury or medical conditions.
Many cosmetic and reconstructive procedures share the same foundations: a detailed understanding of anatomy, function and proportion. While cosmetic surgery focuses on enhancing appearance and reconstructive surgery aims to restore form and function, both require careful planning, technical precision and an appreciation of how different features work together.
At SW1 Plastic Surgery, our surgeons draw on experience gained through reconstructive, craniofacial and aesthetic surgery to develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals. Whether addressing a functional concern, restoring a feature affected by trauma or cancer, or refining a patient's appearance, our focus remains the same: helping patients make informed decisions and achieve outcomes that feel balanced and natural.

Treatment Goals
Common Examples
Many patients begin with a concern rather than a specific procedure in mind. During your consultation, our surgeons take the time to understand your goals, assess your anatomy and discuss the treatment options that may be suitable for your needs.
At SW1 Plastic Surgery, our approach focuses on helping patients make informed decisions through clear explanations, personalised treatment planning and a thorough understanding of both the benefits and limitations of surgery.

The most appropriate procedure depends on your concerns, goals, anatomy and medical history. A consultation allows your surgeon to assess your needs, discuss available options and recommend an approach tailored to your circumstances.
Natural-looking outcomes are a common goal for many patients considering plastic surgery. The final result depends on factors such as anatomy, surgical technique and treatment planning. During consultation, your surgeon will discuss realistic expectations and the outcomes that may be achievable.
Plastic surgery is generally considered safe when performed by a qualified plastic surgeon in an appropriate surgical setting. As with any medical procedure, there are potential risks and considerations that will be discussed during consultation.
SW1 Plastic Surgery is led by MOH-accredited plastic surgeons Dr Tan Ying Chien and Dr Wu Yijun. Together, they bring extensive experience across reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, with complementary clinical interests that allow patients to benefit from a broad range of surgical expertise.
